Don't Miss the Concert in the Park!
We have reserved the Sternwheeler Park this Sunday evening for a special concert featuring "The Classic Gospel Sons." It all begins at 5:30 pm with our very own worship team performing and then at 6 pm the Gospel Sons take the stage.
Last winter we had a packed house when the Gospel Sons came. Be sure to let your friends and neighbors know about this free concert for our community. The weather for Sunday is predicted to get to a high of 75 degrees, and since the park is shaded at 6 pm, it should be nearly perfect for our concert/outreach.
So plan now to attend, support our worship team, invite a friend to attend with you, and let's have a great time at the park together!

We are beginning our growth group sign ups this coming weekend. You can indicate your preference about which day or time of day would work best for you.
We will begin in the second week in September exploring the growth of the early church in Acts. The theme of our study is "Uncontainable: the Church Explodes." Sign up this Sunday!

Expansion Update:
We celebrated on Sunday the opening of our new preschool class room. Many thanks to those who helped in the construction, painting, cleaning and moving furniture into this room!
Work Parties Begin!

Work has begun on the new office complex in the north wing. A wall has been removed, another has been framed in. A door has been moved and windows are being cut in.

This coming week we are planning two evenings (Tues, Thurs) to work on the project. We will be removing the sheetrock on the hallway and in the new office rooms to make way for electrical changes and the addition of duct work.
If you can break away Tuesday evening, come down and join the demolition fun! Also if you are available during the daytime, let Jerry know.

This family album/directory is important for us to get better acquainted and will become a means to help us pray for one another.

Part of the Community
One of the values of our involvement in the Farmer's Market is the opportunity for us as a congregation to be part of the community. Here we have been able to interact with the folks who drop by and have questions. It has led to times of prayer for needs as well as an informal witness to our faith in Christ!
