Rain Didn't Slow us Down!

Even though we had a couple of rainy days during our Vacation Bible School, it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of our kids.  Day after day we had consistent attendance. Kids came, had a great time, learned about Jesus, and a group of them prayed to receive Christ as their savior.  

Parent after parent came up and expressed their enthusiasm for our involvement with their children.  Many thanks to Nancy Murray and her excellent staff for their tireless work with the kids.  Everything went very smooth.  We wish to celebrate the good number of teens who assisted the adults - they did a great job and are to be commended.

To top off the week we invited the families back for a Sunday Celebration.  It was to be held under the canopy, but as it turned out God had other plans and the rain forced us inside.  With over 220 people in one service, we had an exciting time together.

Expansion Update

Step One: prepare a new room for our preschool class. They are moving into room 18 in the Educational Wing.  It is now ready for paint - any one available?

Step Two:  Prepare the first three rooms in the Educational Wing as new offices.  We are ready to take out a wall, remove some carpet and build a new wall.  This will begin soon.

Step Three:  Upgrade our electrical service.  We have been fighting a lack of electrical capacity in the church for some time.  In a little more than a week we will be awarding a contract to double our capacity in the church.r architectural plans are nearing completion for the big project and we will be presenting them to the city's planning department for review and permits soon.
